By providing the user with specialized sensory equipment\, a multisensory area can provide a safe space for anyone\, and can be particularly beneficial for the needs of neurodivergent thinkers and those with anxiety.\n\nAs we begin to design our multisensory space and build our collection of sensory equipment\, we encourage all community members\, especially children who are excited to use this space and their parents\, guardians\, and caretakers\, to please attend our “Community Conversation” and chat with us about what you would like from this space. There will be two conversations (one held on a weekend\, one during the week\, to cater to a variety of schedules)\, and we hope to see many community members at one or both of these drop-in events!
